Philosophy and Approach

Anna’s approach to therapy is collaborative and solutions focused. Anna works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families on a range of issues. When Anna works with families she uses responsive methods, supporting and empowering the voices of each member of the family and explores with parents what works for their familial environment. Anna believes that punitive-based discipline methods (such as time-outs) when dealing with the child’s behaviour can be unhelpful. Anna prefers to work with methods that support the parent/child relationship and align with and focus on the secure attachment process and achieving productive outcomes. Anna works with person-centred modalities and assists clients to achieve their personal goals.
